Sony Cyber-shot T90 vs. Canon Power Shot SD780IS by Kimmy Before we did this side by side comparison, I bought and returned 6000 Olympus resistant Casio EX-100 and FC Casio Exilim EX-S10. Olympus took the pictures awful. The S10 is just blah - not improve the actual features 5MP Exilim I have now. FC-100 was too big. So yes, I'm picky! I wanted a little sexy performance and easy to use, the upper chamber. I was debating between the Canon Powershot 780IS and Sony Cyber-Shot T90. I visited a store and two were still uncertain - plus Amazon prices were much cheaper. I ordered both and did a comparison side by side in my house. Canon again - sorry Powershot. Here is the first. Just to level the base - I like to take good pictures of my dogs and garden, and her husband, and just life. I'm not a pro. I have mostly my facebook or e-mail pictures - very rarely do I print both cameras are sexy and small. Both were heavy and I felt stuck. Both require that you remove the battery to charge. This is where the similarities end. The menu interface was clumsy and not intuitive Canon. I have not used either camera brand in the past - so I have no bias from previous experience. Simple things like changing the picture setting took a few minutes to understand. Sony has a touch screen - as I first thought it was just hype. I really think Ashton is cute and all - but I do not need a touchscreen. So I spent! It rocks! Very easy to navigate. Quick to learn and very functional. T90 is almost completely automated. The only missing feature is the setting of "me look fat." Plus in automatic mode - the camera tells you that the option is selected (portrait, landscape, gourmet food, seriously). So do not worry if your mountains will look like sushi, or vice versa. Smile detection automatically turns on when taking a picture of a face It does not work in dogs - but acknowledged that a Barbie doll. There are tons of resources - such as touching the screen to focus on one person or object to the autofocus. Institutions smile - smile, medium and large. The screen is a good size for viewing and sharing site. And seriously, has a setting for gourmet food. I have no idea why, but it's cool. There is also a beach scene, the creation and configuration of marine snow (camera is not waterproof). The deal breaker was the great picture quality. I took the image of the same scenes with both cameras simultaneously. Both the camera set to automatic configuration and set the landscape. All images I uploaded to my laptop and view them in shape and size of the camera. Sony Pictures became more vivid, more detailed, clearly. I asked my husband to find a side by side pictures - he took pictures of the Sony too. I also tested the image stabilization on both cameras, Sony once again surpassed. Neither the camera was right when I jumped down, during a recording. But the wobbling surpassed Sony in the hand. So it is! The Sony won. The Sony also has less shutter lag and short "boot time". I like the touch screen. The camera is small, easy to use and fun. The picture quality is great. 75 of 83 customers found this review helpful. Allow me a moment to rave about my T90 By D. Campbell, I had this camera because it's Tuesday and Friday and I'm always amazed. I spent hours trying to learn my way into the menu, take photos and video clips. I've owned the Sony W150, but I updated something much smaller. I have the Panasonic Lumix and I tried several Canon cameras, however, the T90 takes the cake. This camera is stylish! The black case is very sexy:). I tried all kinds of Rec, except landscape. I still have to try the six scene modes. All in all, The pictures are beautiful, the Intelligent Scene Recognition mode is really great. I've tried.
