High-quality video, but remains focused Zainul Charbiwala've had this camera for a week and have been loving it ever since. I used another "pull" the camera and put Bloggie Press shame. Terrible focus hunting issues and ergonomics By dcJohn I wanted to like this camera, but it was a complete disappointment. First and foremost, that the autofocus is terrible. The picture is often blurry, and there is again no way to tell the camera trying to focus. (Why not add this and handle it like the iPhone do? I love the quality audio and video is produced. The setup is simple enough, but I think the instruction manual when I want to do special things like change the scene. You are supposed to do this automatically, but I've yet to see my computer to change the default settings automatically. The software guys did a great job with the separation of all the different functions. You can almost go without having to use the manual, if you want to make things simple. I am also very impressed with the SteadyShot function. If you will be walking or record a live sports game, this is a must have feature. Some of the things I like about this camera is that sometimes the touchscreen can not respond in time. I'm pushing it a couple of times before the camera that the sign is not a major concern, but it does happen from time to time. When shooting in low light conditions, I was not impressed with the illuminated "R Exmor" CMOS sensor. Maybe I was expecting to capture sequences of more than 8 meters, but it works well if the subject is less than 8 meters. I'm new to the camera world then maybe 8 feet is excellent. I do not know. A word of warning for Mac users, you will have great difficulty with this device. As you know, the CD included with the camera is not compatible with a Mac addition, some video formats are not compatible with either iMovie. You would need another program to convert these files if you want to use / view them in iMovie. However, this is an ideal camcorder to overcome these drawbacks is the video quality you get. I wanted the following attributes in a new camera: HD, low capacity lux, ease of use, Shake Reduction and large amount of flash memory. Most all my videos so far have been at home. Our homes tend to be poorly lit in most rooms and a video camera has done very well in terms of reproduction of the 56 "big screen high definition, looks bright. Captures beautifully and sound files, vidoes of the fine for playback. The camera is also very simple to use. I am by no means a professional filmmaker and I can point and shoot vidoes wonderful press "Burn" button. I also love the built-in USB. It makes it easy to connect to me. PC and transfer vidoes also tend to be quite unstable during recording and to reduce camera shake is wonderful, some drawbacks to this camera are:. Great Buy by BrianH I never write reviews, but depending on them heavily when making a purchase, I will try to help another. I was looking for a higher purpose Xacti camera and was about to trigger when it was released to draw. I could not have any reviews, but a Radio Shack in the city is actually one of these cameras. My son had a baseball tournament this weekend, so I thought I buy it and try it. For $ 200 I was not expecting much and thought I would give it back. I was blown away by the quality as all the others who saw it. There are some pitfalls though. First, you obviously can not buy, plain old flash cards for them. I have tried to class 4, and it was unusable at 1080p. Class 6 works much better but also has a problem. When the filming of a baseball game, I put it on a tripod, and 1080 was fantastic. By turning a football game I do not use a tripod, and I got a worried mess. He can not follow the script of the video when overview to 1080, with the Class 6, Class I have not tried the 10 yet, but everything I read told me that no camera to class 10 from memory. The best customer reviews 23 of 23 people found this review helpful. Excellent performance! To hkwan've had this camera for a couple of weeks and spent some time with him on several conditions. I used it in a wedding, it will climb in and out on a paintball field, night shooting and fireworks. My impression so far is that this camera has more flexibility in a point and shoot I've seen so far. The low light performance is really impressive, I can only imagine the S95 would be even better with a full F-stop wider lens. However, I have to say that a long lens this SX230HS really been helpful on many occasions. It's fun to be closer to certain conditions, such as the paintball field or the details of fire in buildings, or come to the bride and groom, or even more shots of fireworks. It's not the camera more ergonomic than ever, I'm sure I read about flash and positioning controls small. The pop-up flash is fine, because 95% of the time I do not use the flash, I just hold him down while I turn the camera and off the track. DSLR as a control, fresh filters. By Dennis Morgan in my title, so I turned off the excellent "Power Shot". Do not expect that the picture quality you would find on a package of $ 1000 + camera with a nice goal. If it had that image quality, I really feel bad for paying so much on a digital SLR camera. Picture quality is good, even for a compact camera. Zoom is great and goes really far. I come from a Canon SD1200, and in a way that the camera takes better pictures in certain situations. But I was tired of having no control. So I have this and you have all the creative ways you would find on a DSLR does not know how to use these modes are missing out on some cool aspects of photography. Carlson OK, I really want the Nikon S8100 RED but is apparently available only in black, if you buy it directly from Nikon. I decided to go black because I live in Oregon, where there is no added tax, tax and Nikon wanted $ 10 for shipping. Black is not so bad anyway, and she is doing in my PC case Cooler Master HAF-X. I am a Sony DSC-V1 upgrade. The size of the Nikon is a bit wider, shorter hair, and about half the thickness. The DSC-V1 has a flash-PO puppies in the same area that the S8100 so I was used to hold the camera in the right direction already. For those of you who can not think outside the box, this camera the right way to keep a gun with your hand is your left thumb pointing up, then bend the wrists so that the gun shows on the right side , then set the camera in the gun. RTFM. This proposal is printed (and images) in the Quick Start booklet that came with your camera when you get used to it, you will not have anything against pop-up flash at all. The only problem I have is when your friends take pictures of you thick with it and keep the flash, not knowing better. The downgrade from S8000 to S8100, the 14 megapixel CCD sensor with 12 megapixel CMOS not downgrade at all. Megapixels are almost irrelevant to point and shoot cameras in all cases greater than 12, and increased image quality and better pictures in low light you get with the CMOS sensor EASY win an increase of 2 megapixels. I continue to be amazed at how well my photos taken resulting in all light levels. The 10x optical zoom is great, but what is surprising is how to clean the digital zoom is beyond that. I'm used to fuzzy or blurry images when you use the digital zoom, but this camera is something about this. The position of the zoom lever forces you to use your right index finger instead of thumb, I'm used to feel a little weird at first, but have a complete logical sense from an ergonomic point of view, then held the camera correctly. On the opposite side, knocking the macro feature me down. For a point and shoot camera, I never expected a macro is good. Macro shoot better than my digital SLR Cannon. I can rest the lens on the object I still photography and good focus. LCD screen on the back is a typical 3 "screen, but a resolution very unusual high quality. Great quality video focus, but lags by Zainul Charbiwala I have this camera for about a week now and have been loving it ever since. I've used another "Flip" camcorders and Bloggie touching it brings shame. Advantages: 1 Love quick and record. Ideal for impromptu video of the kids. 2nd The touchscreen interface makes use of both useful and fun on the big screen. 3rd Still pictures are brilliant when lighting and focus are good. 4th The battery charges very quickly and stays with you for a full day of shooting. 5th The image stabilization is good. You can decent video while walking around and swinging too. Note that it is not visual, but SteadyShot electronic stabilization. 6th The lens is a very good quality, and the images are sharp. 7th Really like "snap the picture while recording" function. I use this feature most. The video is not stalled while the image (resolution full-12M) is underway, which focus and exposure is usually good when you are stuck in the middle of the video, the pictures come out great Cons: 1 In dim light, some 'grain and use the digital zoom makes it much worse. 2nd While the target is of good quality, autofocus mechanism is very slow. If you move the camera around too much before the focus is locked, auto-focus almost never lock. 3rd What I really miss with this camera have a flash. Even a little would help create bright pictures. 4th Minor annoyance: a preview of the picture immediately after you have taken, you must pass through at least two clicks. Sony could be designed so that it is always the last photo taken by default, instead of a list of thumbnails of all images / video on the device. I decided to buy this camera on a video camera that can do it: 1 This is dead simple. A knob to turn, to take a video and take pictures, making it easy and quick to use. Terrible focus hunting problem and ergonomics By dcJohn I would like this camera, but there is a complete disappointment. First of all, the autofocus terrible. The picture is often blurry, and there is no way to tell the camera to try and focus again. (Why not add this and the iPhone handle doing? Simply touch the subject you want in focus) Most portable video cameras like this (such as flip, and Kodak) has a fixed focus, and I was afraid of Sony ability to concentrate, because it helps to better macro shots. Instead, the camera just constantly looking for attention and often do not get. The ergonomics are also a problem. I often hold the camera vertically, because it is comfortable, but (again, like my Kodak camera flip and treatment) take the usual wide-angle landscape images. Instead, Sony moves to verticle orientation when you hold it vertically. So you should keep it sideways all the time, which is not widely comfortable for a long time. Adding insult to injury, none of the useful tools for creating online photo sharing with the Mac (although the import into iMovie). The touch screen is nice and accommodating and the video quality is good if it is developed (although the Sony a bit colder typical color / white balance), but the disadvantages of the device - especially the constant terrible.

Argov Whether you are new to the world of digital SLR cameras, or an experienced photographer who wants to try his luck on the video, the Canon Rebel T2i perfectly. I have only good experiences with it so far, and recommend to everyone. Unlike T2i, I own (and certainly shoot with) Rebel XS (1000D), and also has extensive experience with the Canon 50D. While my XS still serve me well, I wanted an SLR camera with video capabilities to obtain since the launch of the T1i. After finally saving enough for T1i, I am really lucky that Canon T2i, even better properties announced! I am fortunate to finally and want to share my experiences and how they compare to my expectations ================== overall impression of the camera is very small and light. It is not sealed or long lasting as some of the more expensive SLR, but not "feel good" I think it has a 3 inch LCD screen (2.5 inch screen against XS Rebel), which also has a high resolution. It 'very charming! Autofocus is fast, and I was very pleased with the quality of images and videos that I have taken so far. ================== Image Quality: I was afraid that cramming megapixel camera like this, there would be a lot of "noise" images (the myth of megapixels). This has fortunately not been a problem, and I was very happy with the photos taken with this camera! In addition to the issues of white balance (see below Cons), image quality is very good! VIDEO: Some people have said derogatory video on DSLRs is just a gadget. I disagree. Based on the sample clips I've seen on YouTube, I was happy to be a HDSLR, and while the videos are sometimes fragile, so you do not have their hands very stable tripod eliminates these problems. The sound quality on T1i has been criticized by many, but T2i has a microphone input that allows you to connect a microphone that does not own it yet, so can not comment on this feature, but will update this review if and when I save enough to try this feature. In addition, it offers enhanced recording options, including higher fps (frames per second) than the T1i, which has offered technically "true HD" recording of 1080, but only in an excited 20 fps. Low light: I'm much more impressed than I had expected. My Rebel XS could go up to ISO 1600, but behaves very badly there. This not only can go up to a level substantially higher ISO, but it does much more. The image noise does not mean you spend less time editing your photos, janitors and many others! SDXC SUPPORT: SDHC cards only own up to now, but it's nice to know that this supports the next generation of flash memory, which means that the future will be able to contain many more images than those in moment. No cons The full-frame SLR: This is not a full-frame SLR like the Canon 5D Mark II, and APS-C size sensor results in a crop factor (16x), and not necessarily the same image of the largest, full-frame sensor does. Still less than half the cost of the Mark II, I think this is a trade-off is worth it for most users. Crop factor means that this camera, like other Canon DSLRs that APS-C size image sensor, it is not true to the name of the lens. The 50mm lens will produce an image more in line with the 1.6 x 50mm or 80mm on a full frame. This not only makes a difference for those who want to landscape photography (which usually benefits from wide-angle views), but for those with shaky hands. The general logic is to provide a stable image, use the reciprocal of the focal distance throw. So, for a 50 mm focal length, you must shoot at a speed of more than 1 / 50 second for a stable picture. Keep the crop factor in mind, we really should shoot faster than 1 / 80 second crop factors are common to most digital SLR cameras, such as full frame.

Carlson OK, I really like the Nikon S8100 RED but apparently only black is available unless you buy it directly from Nikon. I decided to go black because I live in Oregon where there is no sales tax, and tax and Nikon was going to add $ 10 for shipping. Black is not so bad and she is still looking at my PC case Cooler Master HAF-X. I am upgrading from a Sony DSC-V1. The size of the Nikon is a bit 'wider, shorter hair, and about half the thickness. The DSC-V1 is a flash-PO puppy in the same area that the S8100 so I was used to hold the camera in the right direction already. For those of you who can not think outside the box, the right way to keep this camera is a weapon with his hand, his left thumb up, then bend the wrist so that the gun is pointing right, then put the camera into the gun. RTFM. This proposal is printed (and images) in the Quick Start booklet that came with your camera when you get used to it, you will not have anything against pop-up flash at all. I continue to be amazed at how well my photos taken resulting in all light levels. The 10x optical zoom is great, but what is surprising is how to clean the digital zoom is beyond that. I'm used to fuzzy or blurry images when you use the digital zoom, but this camera is something about this. The placement of the zoom lever requires that your right index finger instead of thumb that I'm used to use to feel a bit strange at first but makes complete logical sense of an ergonomic point of view, if you are holding the camera correctly. On the opposite side, a function of macro-floored me. For a compact, I did not expect a macro of the property. This macro shoots better than my Canon SLR. I can rest the lens to the object I'm from and the image will always be in focus. The LCD on the back is a typical 3 "screen, but a high-definition atypical. It has the best screen resolution from any point and shoot I could find. One can really see the details of what you just with him to shoot. It is bright and the colors are accurate. It has a wind noise reduction options, and video and all the functions you use most easily and quickly accessible to use. I know I sound like a Nikon fanboy, but I'm just so happy with this camera. The only thing I can think of that I do not care for the bump rubber is that it connects to the USB port at the bottom of the camera I prefer a flip door, but this is just my preference. It comes with surprisingly full picture version.

Tobias Conclusion: In every generation, Canon IXUS Series makes it easier to use and great results. Like its predecessors, it fits easily in your pocket (or if I recommend it to the end of this review). Currently, only do the best camera you own, with a $ 5k DSLR does you no good if you stay at home because it's not worth it to lug along. However, unlike many other small cameras, or it does not sacrifice features or quality. Well, give a reasonable manual controls, things like setting the shutter speed, aperture, ISO. What you have access to this level of control is buried deep in menus. Canon took a while to realize that for most of us if we wanted to fool with that stuff on a regular basis, we would have another camera. This camera is designed to facilitate the control lever or the umpteenth extreme degree of quality details: This is a small camera and carries with it the baggage that comes with the convenience of having so little luggage. (Sorry, could not resist) None of the issues raised as part of the convenience trade-off made me think of something different to 5 stars, this camera is worth. One problem with all small cameras is the flash. They are all low power and create the red eyes. Both problems are caused by the need to keep the little camera, the flash should be small and placed near the target. Canon is solved by putting a bit of noise reduction really good for you (in fact the camera) can shoot at a relatively high ISO in low light for a faster shutter speed. The result is an image that is both low noise and no blurring. And the best part is the camera takes care of everything so you do not do it. Installed a 16GB SDHC Card Class 10 and now has 5000 + Photo capacity is 12 MB or 60 minutes of HD video. The image stabilization at maximum zoom digital 4X4/16x works fine! The camera fits easily into your pocket and is very easy @ ~ 5 oz. Canon's DIGIC 4-processor and CMOS sensor camera really point and shoot. By default, automatic light level, tremors, focusing lens, shutter speed, flash / noflash and ISO to collect optimal images perfect nature scene almost every time you press the correct half way (1) completely before (2) to take images. But make sure to get a 10 class card.

By Bruce Porter, I just got back from vacation, I got the camera. 14 days in Alaska. The camera did everything I asked. A few points I would like to point out. * I was using firmware version 1.0 during the holidays, I see now is version 1.1, but not for some of the points I had problems with * One thing that surprised me is when you take a picture are in B & W cameras the solve mode, it will not concentrate on full zoom. This seems like a glitch to me, it makes no sense, but that's what I experienced when shooting. I went to work with video more and I was very unlucky to get it to focus. But I noticed that when I ran out and turned zoom on the video, it seemed to focus on the problems much better. Again, it makes no sense to me, but I'll be interested in other stakeholders and if they have the same experience as I met so many people to travel with us and the places I visited the P500 itself. I was able to give some newbies some advice. Share experiences with others and some also stain some pointers. Almost to the person who I interacted with people very happy happy with this camera. Yes, they all share some of the same complaints. One of the universal was the wrong move with a total lack of binding capacity of the filter and lens cap on / off. In image mode (no video) makes this camera more than you ask, if you study the manual and play with it.
