Williamson Purchased the GH1 and 14-42mmm followed with a 100-300 Panasonic lens...for birding and close ups it's a beautiful piece of work. Even the iAuto mode is excellent so you don't have to be a Pro to shoot nice stills or video... A best buy for a hybrid still/video camera By Joseph Ogiba I purchased the GH2 in December with Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lens and later purchased the GH1 with 14-42mm for $375 from Panasonic and that is the best deal I have made on a camera in a long time. It makes a great back-up body to my GH2 with the m4/3rds lenses I have and only the GH2 has a better EVF that makes shooting videos much better than my Pentax K-7 or any other DSLR for that matter. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great camera for the money (and can be hacked to 24+ mb/s for video) By SAF I love the results of video with this thing..and with ptool (personal-view.com), it can be hacked to more than the standard of 17mb/s data rate, which gives excellent sharpness detail in video. Honestly i dont really use it for regular photos, but the ones I took were nice. I use the GH1 with an adapter for the old canon FD, manual type of lens along with an ND adjustable filter and am getting very satisfactory results.
