Experience the Power. Canon's HS SYSTEM with a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS and DIGIC 4 Image Processor improves shooting in low-light situations without the need for a flash and lowers noise levels at higher ISO settings. The Canon HS SYSTEM takes the frustration out of low light shooting. The system delivers clear, blur-free shots with all the ambiance intact, and frees you from the sometimes unwanted effects of using the flash. Beautiful low light shots are possible at both low and high ISO speeds, and the dynamic range is expanded to retain maximum detail in highlight and shadow areas. The system is the result of two technologies brought together in a compact PowerShot. The first is the 12.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor, which positions the light-receiving surface for optimal light reception. More light means clearer, blur-free images with plenty of detail and nuance, even in dark areas. Working together with the CMOS sensor to deliver the HS SYSTEM is Canon's advanced DIGIC 4 Image Processor, which actively reduces noise and delivers high speed image processing.

Tobias BACKGROUND: In each generation, Canon ELPH series makes it easy to use and still get great results. Like its predecessors, it fits easily in your pocket (or recommend the case to the end of this review). At this point can only do this the best camera you have, has a $ 5k DSLR does not do much good if you left the house because it was not worth the effort to take with them. However, unlike many other small cameras, it does not sacrifice features or quality. Well, he gives up any reasonable control manual, things like shutter speed, lens aperture, ISO. Access that level of control that is buried deep within menus. Canon took a while to realize that for most of us, if we want to fool with that sort of thing on a regular basis, we would be using a different camera. This camera has been developed to the extreme control lever or n-th degree to facilitate quality details: This is a small camera and contributes to the baggage that comes with the convenience of having so little luggage. (Sorry, could not resist) None of the problems they raised part of the convenience trade-off has got me thinking about something other than the 5-star worthy of the camera. One problem with all small cameras is the flash. They are all low-power and create red eyes. Both issues should the need to keep the small camera caused the lightning to be small and placed near the lens. Canon, they rely on some noise really good for you (in fact the camera) can shoot at a relatively high ISO in low light conditions for a faster shutter speed. The result is an image that is both low noise and no blur. And the best part is the camera takes care of everything so you do not have to. As a result, you can take pictures in a well lit room, without using a flash at all - the reaction shot, as with any small digital camera for under $ 500, is a bit 'slow effective way to capture children and pets. The trick to doing this is to have a great sense of time and a shutter that responds instantly burst or fast enough (> 4x / sec). This camera has neither. Some other tips that apply: Normally, at this point, I would put in some details on the ISO setting manually or by selecting a color space. However, for this device, it is simply not relevant. You buy this camera because you want to take beautiful photos without having to worry about these things. If you want to take "the picture to the next level, and a great resource is the Confessions of a compact shooter: get professional quality photos with a compact camera. Finally I found the Case Logic QPB-1 Compact Digital Camera Case (black / gray) is the right size for this camera and 'semi-rigid, so to get a reasonable amount of protection but do not add much bulk. It's made even better by using one of these, Nite IZE SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-Pack, to ensure a belt loop. 128 of 130 people found this review helpful. Canon ELPH 100 HS - UR going to pile it by George Banck just received my Canon ELPH 100 HS} {orange and I am ecstatic. The camera boots almost immediately. Installed a 16GB SDHC card class 10 and now has 5000 + photos or 60 minutes 12MB capacity for HD video. The image stabilization at maximum zoom digital 4X4/16x works fine! The camera fits easily in your pocket and is very easy @ ~ 5 ounces, the Canon CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 processor makes this very point and shoot camera. By default, automatically selects intensity, tremor, goal orientation, shutter speed, flash / ISO noflash and the best scene-Type Picture perfect pick up virtually every time the button is really halfway (1) printed before fully (2) Photo shoot for .
