Experience the Power. Canon's HS SYSTEM with a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS and DIGIC 4 Image Processor improves shooting in low-light situations without the need for a flash and lowers noise levels at higher ISO settings. The Canon HS SYSTEM takes the frustration out of low light shooting. The system delivers clear, blur-free shots with all the ambiance intact, and frees you from the sometimes unwanted effects of using the flash. Beautiful low light shots are possible at both low and high ISO speeds, and the dynamic range is expanded to retain maximum detail in highlight and shadow areas. The system is the result of two technologies brought together in a compact PowerShot. The first is the 12.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor, which positions the light-receiving surface for optimal light reception. More light means clearer, blur-free images with plenty of detail and nuance, even in dark areas. Working together with the CMOS sensor to deliver the HS SYSTEM is Canon's advanced DIGIC 4 Image Processor, which actively reduces noise and delivers high speed image processing.

Tobias Conclusion: In every generation, Canon IXUS Series makes it easier to use and great results. Like its predecessors, it fits easily in your pocket (or if I recommend it to the end of this review). Currently, only do the best camera you own, with a $ 5k DSLR does you no good if you stay at home because it's not worth it to lug along. However, unlike many other small cameras, or it does not sacrifice features or quality. Well, give a reasonable manual controls, things like setting the shutter speed, aperture, ISO. What you have access to this level of control is buried deep in menus. Canon took a while to realize that for most of us if we wanted to fool with that stuff on a regular basis, we would have another camera. This camera is designed to facilitate the control lever or the umpteenth extreme degree of quality details: This is a small camera and carries with it the baggage that comes with the convenience of having so little luggage. (Sorry, could not resist) None of the issues raised as part of the convenience trade-off made me think of something different to 5 stars, this camera is worth. One problem with all small cameras is the flash. They are all low power and create the red eyes. Both problems are caused by the need to keep the little camera, the flash should be small and placed near the target. Canon is solved by putting a bit of noise reduction really good for you (in fact the camera) can shoot at a relatively high ISO in low light for a faster shutter speed. The result is an image that is both low noise and no blurring. And the best part is the camera takes care of everything so you do not do it. As a result, you can take pictures in a bright room without flash to be used at all - shutter speed, as with all small digital cameras for less than $ 500, is a bit slow to effectively capture the children and pets. The trick to doing this is to either have a great sense of timing and a shutter that responds promptly and reasonably fast (> 4 times / sec) burst mode. This camera has neither. Some other suggestions that apply: Normally at this point I would like some information about the manual setting of ISO or choose a color. But this camera is simply irrelevant. You buy this camera because you want to get good shots without having to worry about that. If you do not want your photos "to take to the next level as a great source Confessions of a compact camera Shooter: professional photos with your compact camera. Finally I found the Case Logic QPB-1 Compact Digital Camera Case (Black / Grey) is just the right size for this camera semi-rigid, it is so that you get a reasonable protection, but not add a lot of bulk. It's even better one of these, made Nite IZE SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-pack, to secure it to a belt loop. 130 of 132 people found the following review helpful.
